October 3, 2011 – Vampire Diaries co-stars and off-screen sweethearts Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder spend the weekend in New York City for Project Pink Day.
Nina hosted the Breast Cancer awareness event at the Puma store in Union Square on Sunday, and Ian accompanied her on the weekend trip.

At the end of the day Nina Tweeted, “What a perfect weekend! Fun. Spontaneous. Yummy. Inspiring. It could not have been better. Not a single complaint!”
All the proceeds from Puma’s sales related to the campaign go to a charity of the voter’s choice, which include the Barbara Ann Karmanos Institute and the Young Survival Coalition, reported Wetpaint.com.

Earlier on Saturday, Ian tweeted a photo of New york with the caption “In Love With….” and then later he wrote, “Brilliant day in NY.Great brunch with a brother, evening with close friends talking, art, commerce and sustainability-love this place.Miss it.”
While Ian and Nina did not mention each other in their tweets, something they are known for, they were spotted at the airport as they made their way to New York together on Saturday.
The coy couple has never made it official that they are dating, but Nina and Ian are regularly seen together during events, outings and trips, often showing each other affection.

When asked about her relationship with Ian at the Emmy Awards, Nina stumbled with her answer and admitted she gets nervous when she talks about him.
