According to President Obama, the Republican vision of fiscal responsibility and individual liberty would “fundamentally cripple America.”
“From the moment I took office, what we’ve seen is a constant ideological pushback against any kind of sensible reforms that would make our economy work better and give people more opportunity,” he said at an intimate brunch fundraiser at the Medina, Wash., home of former Microsoft executive Jon Shirley.
Fox News reports the 65 guests guests present paid $35,800 per couple to listen to the President.
In Obama’s view, raising $1.5 trillion in new taxes on the so-called wealthy is “sensible,” despite his own words in 2009 that one does not “normally” raise taxes in a recession.
The President adopted a similar tone in Seattle and California’s Silicon Valley.
The trip comes as Obama has shifted from focusing on compromise with Republicans on Capitol Hill to calling out House Speaker John Boehner and others by name. The president has criticized them as obstructionists while demanding their help in passing his $447 billion jobs bill.
Last week, Sam Webb, Chairman of the Communist Party USA endorsed Obama’s job plan, as well as his $1.5 trillion tax hike. That, in and of itself, should be reason enough to soundly reject both proposals. The Communist Party has as its goal the destruction of America’s capitalist system.
The Associated Press found that Obama’s jobs bill is not paid for, not bipartisan, will add to the deficit and will not solve the problem of unemployment, despite the Presiden’t promises.
Under President Obama, the nation’s credit rating was downgraded from AAA to AA+, unemployment is nearly twice that of Mexico and chronic unemployment is worse than it was during the Great Depression.
A recent Gallup poll shows 81 percent of Americans – including 65 percent of Democrats – are dissatisfied with the way the country is being governed.
Especially frustrated in the latest poll were Republicans, 92 percent of whom were dissatisfied with the governance of the nation, while 65 percent of Democrats were similarly dissatisfied.
A majority of Americans — 53 percent — also have lost confidence in the people who are running for or hold elected office.
When asked if the destruction of the private sector is intentional, or a result of Obama’s ineptness, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) did not miss a beat.
“It is intentional,” West replied. “It’s intentional because this is who the President is. The President is a Marxist because he believes in the separation of classes.”
“When you have a national leader that demonizes a certain segment of society and attacks them, it has never ended up well, but that is what we have,” West added.
West went on to call Obama a socialist because “he believes in nationalizing production.”
The Florida Republican cited the auto industry, the financial sector, health care and regulations being put in place by the EPA as examples of Obama’s failed socialism.
The truth is, Obama’s policies are crippling the nation as “hope and change” is turning into “franks and beans” for far too many Americans.
But Obama – refusing to learn from his mistakes – continues to push his radical far-left agenda.
His combative tone may play well in certain West Coast liberal enclaves, but it does not sit well with the rest of America.
