Each year, thousands of people across the country start as early as August putting up Christmas light displays for visitors to enjoy. Some Christmas light displays are more interactive with visitors while others are synchronized to music which sets the mood for a magical Christmas event. Not everyone who puts on Christmas light shows begin while the summer sun is still burning hot, but many do start in October. For those living near Louisville, Kentucky, there are many outdoor Christmas light displays to check out this year.
Lyndon City Hall located at 515 Wood Road in Louisville, Kentucky, holds its annual ‘Kick Off the Holidays’ event every year just before Thanksgiving Day. The streets fill with locals and visitors who want to join in the celebration festivities that litter the streets. Each year, the city of Lyndon adds to its long list of holiday events. In the past, holiday activities such as: carriage rides, face painting, food, hot chocolate, holiday music, and meeting Mr. and Mrs. Claus have been on the list of things to do.
There is something for every family member at this holiday event. Plan on visiting Louisville this year to help kick off the holidays with the Christmas light displays, fun, rides, good food and excitement. Dress warm as the sun will be going down when the event begins at 5:00 and last until 7:00.
