The outreach and educational programs hosted by MBDD are designed to provide information and resources to assist in the growth of the Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) of Prince George’s County. Who’s Lending Money???
This free financial forum affords small and minority business owners to meet financial lenders, discuss available financing and lending requirements, and find the best lenders for your project. Four different types of lending institutions will all be in the same room to present different loan products and services; the Do’s and Don’ts of the application process and available resources for small and minority firms. The Forum will feature a panel discussion and presentations from several lending institutions including the U.S. Small Business Administration, Prince George’s FSC First, Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union, and SunTrust and Old Line Banks.

MBDD is holding a focus group that will consists of principals/business owners to gain information that will enable the Prince George’s County Minority Business Development Division to develop strategies to implement more effective programs that can assist the local minority business community. During this forum, business owners will be able to:
· Voice their concerns about their business
· Share their experiences with Prince George’s County Government’s procurement process
· Let us know the challenges they are facing in today’s economy
· Let us know what types of business training is needed, and much more
