By now many Americans are familiar with the concept of meridians, the invisible lines running through the body, conducting qi, the life energy.
In much the same way as with blood flowing through arteries and veins, this qi travels through the entire body giving the essence required by all systems and parts. If there should occur a blockage at any point the whole body will be affected due to a resulting imbalance. Imagine it as a mighty river which is responsible for irrigating many fields and crops along its way to the sea. If a dam is built somewhere along it, or any other disruption to the flow happens, the plants along the river banks will not receive their much-needed sustenance. Animals dependent on the crops for food will also suffer, and humans in need of food and cash crops will be left in want. Eventually all life forms in that region will end up dying from this lack of water. In the same manner an area of the body lacking its life force will suffer and malfunction. In severe and/or prolonged instances death may even occur. The entire body will have become afflicted because its energy will be out of balance and won’t receive what it needs to thrive and stay healthy (in a state of homeostasis, or wholeness and equilibrium).
In quantum reflex analysis, this principle of meridians, a staple of acupuncture, acupressure and Traditional Chinese Medicine in general, is utilised in a way where it is more of a diagnostic tool than a healing method. This system, developed in he seventies by Dr.Yoshiaki Omura, a pioneer in acupuncture in the United States, helps find what is at the root of an illness or other health condition. The aforementioned modalities employ the meridians and certain specific points along them to induce healing. This can be achieved through unblocking and releasing energy flow at such locations as determined by charts showing the various points corresponding to diseases and symptoms. QRA, though, focuses on finding the part of the body that is the cause of an illness or other malfunction, especially internal organs. The patient and practitioner then may decide what form of treatment to pursue next once the diagnosis has been made. Then, too, QRA may be used in determining whether a certain form of medicine, either holistic or conventional, ie., TCM, herbal, etc., or pharmaceutical, would be most beneficial and in what quantity if applicable.
The methods of such discoveries may sound rather simplistic but are based on bioelectronic fundamentals. Consider the fact that all creatures, at the subatomic level, have basic electrical activity operating. All matter has electrons present, and the result is an electrical field surrounding it; when that electrical field of any substance or organism has been affected in any way so that it fluctuates, this has been caused by some influence such as injury, disease or substances that are harmful to it. In the same way that some people see the aura (really a manifestation of bioelectricity) of another living creature vary with its health changes, so can the fluctuations of this field be witnessed by QRA.
Thus by means of quantum reflex analysis, when changes in the energy are discovered they may be correlated to specific areas or organs being besieged in some way. The meridians will allow the practitioner to find the afflicted area when stimulation is used along with diagnostic methods. To determine such a target the practitioner will use pressure like that of acupuncture, acupressure or light waves on a specific point connected to the suspected area of illness/injury such as an internal organ. The method then employed to discern its condition is generally the Bi-Digital O-ring method. In this procedure, the practitioner forms circles with two or more fingers within a circle formed by a finger and thumb of the patient. A series of kinesiology-style tests are performed in various configurations with the aim of meeting three criteria: pulling the patient’s O-ring apart, not pulling it apart, or maintaining their status quo during four positions of the patient’s head. By this method it may be discovered either the origin of the health problem, the type of treatment best for the condition and patient, or what dosage of any medicine that will be chosen.
