“Yes, we Cain!”
September 28, 2011 – [ U.S. Politics ] On Tuesday, U.S. presidential candidate Herman Cain won his first national poll and now appears to be the leading Republican frontrunner going into the 2012 elections. Supporters are coining the phrase “Yes, we Cain!” which alludes to Barack Obama’s “Yes we can” campaign slogan in the 2008 presidential elections.
VIDEO: Democrats have a bankrupt ideology
With frustrated voters around the country — millions of whom are unemployed or underemployed, Cain is leveraging his successful business career by encouraging Americans to support a “non-traditional” outsider who can change how Washington does business. In a speech at a GOP convention earlier this year, Cain accused liberals, progressives and intellectual elites of “SIN.”
“They change the Subject. They Ignore the facts. And they resort to Name-calling . . . That’s all they do,” said Cain. “Focus on the problems and their solutions based on facts.”

Here is a partial listing of the Zogby Poll results.
- Cain – 28%
- Texas Governor Rick Perry – 18%
- Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney– 17%
- Texas Congressman Ron Paul – 11%
- Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich – 6%

On Saturday, Herman Cain won the Florida Straw Poll by a wide margin, surpassing Texas Governor Rick Perry and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. Florida is viewed as a crucial stepping stone for any presidential hopeful, and is ultimately credited for electing George W. Bush over then-Vice President Al Gore in the 2000 elections.
Black American Conservative >
Herman Cain is the former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and a former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza. The 65-year old began his career as a mathematician in the U.S. Navy and then rose to serve as vice president at Coca-Cola and Burger King. A former head of the National Restaurant Association, the Georgia-native is a frequent speaker at Tea Party events.
In 2003, Herman Cain survived stage 4 cancer and said that he would have died from delays in treatment if Obamacare had been implemented at that time. He has served as a radio show host and argues that black conservatives in America are unfairly criticized by liberals and the media.
Herman Cain’s book will be released next week and is titled This Is Herman Cain! My Journey to the White House. In the book, Cain accuses Obama’s supporters of using the race card for anyone who criticizes the policies of the current administration.
While I don’t believe that Barack Obama used racial issues to get elected, I do believe that many of his supporters selectively use race to cover up some of his failures. Whenever President Obama is criticized over policy mistakes, his surrogates tend to play the race card, as if there’s supposed to be something inherently morally wrong in such criticism.
Liberal Rhetoric >
Cain suggests that Democrats, given record debt levels, budget shortfalls and high unemployment, have such a bankrupt ideology that they are desperately employing divisiveness, arguments devoid of facts and hate rhetoric in order to garner support from urban voters.
Additionally, the Republican frontrunner attacks the increasing reach of government, high levels of taxation, lack of energy independence, Obama’s liberal views and Washington’s ineptitude in formulating and implementing massive government programs that are increasngly funded by foreign debt.
