With Pan Am stewardesses popping up all over fashion week it seemed like no suprise when we saw 1960’s inspired fashion all over the runways at New York Fashion Week. And while we did not score one of the highly coveted Pan Am explorer bags the ladies were bestowing on the lucky few, we did score some fabulous pictures of some of the most wearable retro fashions heading your way this spring.
A-line dresses, doll eyes, Bardot Bouffants and maxi dresses all graced the runway shows and presentations and definitely made it onto our spring must have lists.
At Alice + Olivia you were transported into a 1960’s garden party . As you sipped champagne and nibbled cupcakes you strolled through the garden of models grouped in fabulous little vignettes. And whats a garden without trees? Except that the tree in this garden was every womans’s fantasy…A shoe tree!
At the Rachel Zoe presentation, Rachel strolled among her guests and excitedly talked about her brigette bardot inspired collection that was relaxed, comfortable , wearable and incredibly chic. As fans of the Rachel Zoe Project we were giddy at the sight of all the members of team Zoe and an appearance by Vogue Italia Editrix Anna Della Russo made this presentation a highlight of our fashion week!
And at the Erin Fetherston presentation you got the feeling that you walked into a super mod photo shoot from !960’s Vogue.
