It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Halloween Costume Ideas
The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode “Frank Reynold’s Little Beauties” episode starts out at 12:00 PM on a Saturday with Dee, Dennis, Charlie, and Mac talking about how America does not have Kings. Frank comes in screaming about how he is in trouble, and in the process falls and gets a bloody nose. Turns out, Frank invested in a child’s beauty pageant, but when he fronted the money he thought it was for a women’s beauty pageant. Frank met the man who was putting the child beauty pageant on at a strip club, and it turns out that man ended up getting thrown in jail for hitting on one of the contestants.
This causes the gang to take over running the child’s beauty pageant in order to make it legitimate, and in the process they get to live out some of their own dreams. Turns out, Sweet Dee used to enter pageants when she was younger, and win them. Charlie gives a big speech about how child pageants is a right Americans have, and that gets everyone else amped up to help throw it together.
The remaining episode revolves around Frank constantly trying to prove he does not diddle kids, which in turn actually make it seem like he is a pedophile. He even gets a mortician to put make-up on him in order to cover up his bloody, and bruised face but all it did was give me flashbacks to when he playing the Penguin in Batman Returns.
There is one boy entered in the child’s beauty pageant, and Charlie, Mac and Dennis take it upon themselves to bring his musical number some fresh new life. Of course, they turn it into a big rave-like light show that angers the young boys father.
Sweet Dee tries to befriend a little girl named Samantha, who is clearly the best contestant. Samantha gives Dee the cold shoulder which causes Dee to be an unwanted mentor to a different little girl who wants no help. Dee not only mentors the little girl, but joins in on her musical number which is all about hating moms. Not exactly the best song to perform in front of an audience full of mothers.
In the end, it turned out the man pretending to be investigating the pageant was in fact a pedophile. Samantha ends up winning the pageant based on her being the prettiest, and the gang realizes child beauty pageants is a magnet for pedophiles.
Overall, this episode brought the biggest laughs from Frank trying so hard to prove he was not a pedophile. There was also a little cameo from Artemis (Artemis Pebdani) who worked the sound system at the beauty pageant. The musical numbers sung by the gang were also humorous, and they wore some great outfits that could easily translate into Halloween costumes.
