Rochester- The Rochester Police Department activated four more red light cameras at various intersections within city limits today.
The cameras trigger when a driver runs a red light, evidence is examined after a still photo and video are reviewed. A ticket is then sent to the owner of the vehicle. The Vehicles owner may appeal the decision or plea guilty and pay the 50-dollar fine.
Cameras activated this morning at the following intersections, Saint Paul and Upper Falls Boulevard, Brown Street and Broad Street, Lyell Avenue and Murray Street and Maple Street and Saxton Street.
This brings the total number of redlight cameras covering Rochester intersections to 16. The City of Rochester plans to install a total of 50
