This is a time for designers to showcase there collections for the upcoming season and a time for all the fashion connoisseurs to get their first look at the new trends. Fashion Week New York just passed in September and it showcased the looks for the Spring 2012 looks. Fashion Week always showcases the upcoming season’s looks, therefore the New York Fall Fashion Week covered runway looks from designers upcoming spring collections. Many of you are probably thinking, “Why would I want to know about what is going to be in style for the spring, when we are just entering the fall?”. The great thing about being able to see their spring collections is that most designers have incorporated small variances of these trends into their fall collections. Here are a few designers that showcased their looks and how you can incorporate these looks into your fall wardrobe. Badgley Mischka is the first designer we will take a look at. The concept for the spring collection is dramatic ruffles with floral designs and color blocking. The great thing about color blocking is the fact that it can be done any time of the year. This trend will be popular through the fall and of course spring and summer of next year. Here is a great idea of how to color block for the Fall. Herve Leger (pronounced Er-VE Ley-JEH) showcased his famous bandage dresses in blacks, nudes, and bold primary colors. These dresses are not a typical fall time dress however if you pair it with a polished blazer it will make your look fall appropriate. Here is Kim Kardashian wearing a bandage dress with a cropped blazer. Although her dress is not made by Herve Leger this is an example of how you can wear this sexy trend for the fall time. Alice + Olivia is another popular designer among celebs. Her spring looks consisted of a flirty twist on the 60’s era. These consisted of floral prints, high waisted and wide leg pants. These looks can be worn throughtout the fall time as well as the spring. Here is an idea of how to wear this trend for the fall.The last designer we will look at is Calvin Klein. He showcased his spring collection by incorporating black, white, nude, and warm peachy tones to his line. The majority of his pieces consisted of menswear inspired blazers and sheer tops. Here is a great way you can incorporate this look into your fall wardrobe. Just add a scarf to this look and it is a perfect look for the fall. These runway looks do not have to be confined to the spring or summer, you can take a specific concept and twist it into your own look by adding accessories that are appropriate for the season.
