Just across the Mason-Dixon Line stands a location known for its gruesome battle during the Civil War: Gettysburg Pennsylvania, a place of history, tragedy and an abundance of unrest spirits. Many residents of this historic town believe these spirits linger day and night searching for something or someone. But not too far from town through a small dirt road hides Sach’s Bridge; a 100-foot long bridge that operated as a field hospital for both Confederate and Union Soldiers. It is a picture perfect structure, but during the night this bridge reveals a different personality.
Residents and visitors have reported seeing apparitions, hearing voices of screaming and a child calling for her mother. Others report a chill other than weather and dizziness, intense feeling of being watched and being physically pushed. Some experiences can be caused by paranoia, anxiety or fear, although many skeptics have visited the site as well and returned with unexplainable events and with a different perspective of supernatural claims. The site is allegedly so paranormally active, that even everyday travel became an inconvenience.
Sach’s Bridge was used as a road temporarily until driver’s started having trouble with their batteries being drained. This became so common that the tow companies would advise the drivers to push their car away from the bridge and attempt to start it before they would dispatch a truck. It is believed that spirits use and drain energy around them to communicate, manifest or even move objects. Since Sach’s bridge is a beautiful location, it welcomes mass photographs if the bridge allows you to keep the juice in your batteries.
With so many visitors, paranormal investigators and locals, much evidence is produced through photos, video and digital voice recording. Many photos reveal sphere-like anomalies known as “orbs and while others have what looks to be like smoke or mist forming also known as “ectoplasm”; and on rare occasions, a full bodied apparition. Many videos have been submitted with unexplained persons in the scene or even disturbances in the audio. Paranormal investigators use digital voice recorders to capture EVPs, an acronym for Electronic Voice Phenomenon. Researchers believe that spirits communicate on a different frequency than the naked ear can observe. Digital voice recorders receive different frequencies and voices can be heard through the white noise it produces. Be sure to listen and watch carefully at your photos, videos and audio… You might get more than what you expect.
With so much death and tragedy in one location, Gettysburg Pennsylvania is like an epicenter of paranormal phenomenon releasing an earthquake of unexplained happenings throughout its landscape.
