HIGHLIGHT: Monday-Sunday, October 10th-16th, Kim Quang Temple honors and celebrate the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara, (Quan‘Am in Vietnamese),Bodhisattva Day. All are invited to share in the beauty and tranquility at Kim Quang Temple during the weeklong practice and celebration to honor the Bodhisattvas. Monday-Friday, 8:00-9:00pm service will be held with 500 prostrations each night. A new Buddhist group: Sacramento Urban Dharma Group, beginning October 11th, 5:30-6:30pm, will meet at Sunlight of the Spirit at 2314 J Street, Sacramento. This group offers a secular, non-denominational approach to the practice of Buddhism and is geared towards Generation Y. Discussions, questions and sitting in silence.
