San Diego is a big city with so many different areas to it. While there is the ocean that everyone will want to go visit and sun bathe at, you also have the mountains. There are several amazing beaches in San Diego. La Jolla Beach, Mission Bay, Pacific Beach, Del Mar, Cardiff, Torrey Pines, and Coronado are a few to mention. All of the beaches that you will find in San Diego are fabulous! There is plenty of sun and plenty of fun to be had throughout the coastline. Any tourist cannot go wrong with any they choose to go to! The mountains to the east of San Diego are beautiful. There are casinos and shopping outlets nestled inside the mountains that are also fun to check out as well! Coronado Island is something that every traveler must visit! You can see the Coronado Bay Bridge from a distance and instantly become excited. This bridge will lead you over to Coronado; a quiet and remarkable island that is green and so very cheery. Going across the bridge, you can look off and be transfixed with either two things; the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the water glistening in the sunlight, or the majestic aircraft carriers of our United States Navy. San Diego is a proud naval station to our Navy. While on Coronado and very near the beach is a hotel that is historical and so very interesting to tour! “Hotel Del Coronado”. Walking into this grand place you instantly become lost in it. It’s worth every second of seeing. There are many eateries on Coronado Island as well ranging anywhere from an English Pub to Mexican Food. Downtown San Diego is where it is at! For those not familiar with “Old Town”, should become familiar with it! With historic tales of very haunted residences like the Whaley House and Alvarado House there is so much to see and do in this area. Downtown is filled with shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs at almost every step you walk! Downtown San Diego is where many tourist and even locals love to go. The very most single important places of mention are Sea World, Legoland, and the famous San Diego Zoo. Sea World is a place all on its own with fun and sights to see for all ages. Legoland, in Carlsbad which isn’t far from downtown San Diego, is just how it sounds. All things are Lego! Ask anyone who has been to San Diego and has checked out Lego Land, and they will tell you how awesome it is! It’s worth every bit of the money spent! There really isn’t a Zoo quite like the Zoo in San Diego. So many different animals and things to see, it really seems like you are in a city on its own with its size and atmosphere. The Zoo is a day visit on its own! There is no way a person can visit this zoo and want to leave without seeing as much of it as they possibly can! The food is amazing in San Diego! You will find a little bit of everything when it comes to great food! Hotels are not hard to find at all and booking a hotel in advance will secure you direct access to all the places that the tourists want to see and be a part of! The weather in San Diego is just as you are thinking it is right now, warm and sunny. Rain is not something that someone in Southern California sees too much of! The months of May and June however, there is an occurrence which locals call “June Gloom”, and sometimes “May Gray”. This is when you will frequently see an overcast sky. Even with overcast skies, it’s still warm and beautiful. The nights are generally cooler. The Pacific air sees to that. Bringing along a light jacket, especially staying close to the ocean or inland toward the mountains would come in handy for those who might get chilly. The winters in San Diego are much milder than what most would expect. Granted there are cooler days, you will still find it much more comfortable then a good section of the country!
