In March of this year the San Jose Mercury published a news story that all but ignored the severe decrease of the black population in the Bay Area. While touting the robust growth of other ethnic groups that increased an average of 50%, it all but ignored the decreases in the black population in many Bay Area cities.
In another story released today, September 30th, the explanation was given that black flight to the suburbs and to the South accounted for the Bay Area declines. However, a brief inspection of the claim by the reported numbers in the story refutes this explanation.http://www.mercurynews.com/census/ci_19006621?source=most_viewed
The South’s population only increased 1.4% from 10-years ago which hardly accommodates the cross the board decrease of black population in America’s major cities. Detroit is down 185,393, Chicago is down 181,453, and Los Angeles is down 100,000 in giving you a national snapshot. These huge drops dwarfs the decreases in the Bay Area of Oakland’s 33,502 (23%), San Francisco’s 11,645 (19%), or East Palo Alto’s 2,092 (33%).
If the South is so healthy for black growth and opportunity, why did it only increase a dismal 1.4% since 2000 as reported in the Mercury’s own news story? It’s hardly a testimonial for absorbing the black flight from all the nation’s cities.
The claim that blacks are fleeing to the suburbs is also hardly the answer. The Mercury uses Discovery Bay as nearly a laughable explanation for black flight from the cities to the suburbs. The black population for Discovery Bay was about 115 in 2000, and the Mercury touted there was a 233% increase in the black population in 2010; to 400. What?…285 more blacks live there than ten-year ago and that 233% increase is suppose to explain the cross the board decrease of Oakland, Richmond, Berkeley, San Francisco, Daly City and East Palo Alto? One black increasing to two for 100% is hardly anything to get excited about.
Granted, black relocation from urban cities is responsible for a portion of the decrease, but it is not the high impact number. Black births should have more than compensated for those that left and for blacks that have died by any cause during the decade.
What the liberals refuse to acknowledge since it is their pet policy and the media continues to whitewash is the severe impact that abortion has had on the black population. Black females receiving a disproportion of abortions have impacted black population growth not only in the Bay Area but nationwide.http://blog.godreports.com/2011/03/black-leaders-mourn-genocidal-impact-of-abortion-on-their-community/
While congress is investigating Planned Parenthood’s abuse of the child protection and rape laws that have habitually been ignored, it would also serve the public interest to investigate its eugenics policy that has negatively impacted the black population figures wherever abortion has been practiced.http://www.lifesitenews.co/news/breaking-congress-investigating-planned-parenthood-over-sex-abuse-coverup-a
