The following article is part of an ongoing effort to help homeless dogs in and around the Toronto/Hamilton area find suitable and loving homes. Sometimes this effort extends even further, since there are so many dogs that find themselves in dire circumstances. Currently, the need is great but the homes are few. Your help is desperately needed.
Loyal Rescue of Peterborough, Ontario recently took in a sweet miniature Schnauzer named Molly.
This 1-year-old cutie has been through a lot in her short life because she has epilepsy. Because of this, she has blood tests and is on two medications every 12 hours. The medication is very inexpensive and costs about $1.75 per day or $53.20 a month.
Thankfully, Molly’s condition is now under control so she can lead a normal doggie life. She has not had a seizure since January, 2011. She is now 15 pounds of pure happiness. She loves being around people, including kids, cats and other dogs. She is a typical puppy that enjoys running around the house. She can be a real character and bring you plenty of laughs with her antics.
During quieter times, she likes to cuddle and get attention on the couch. Due to her medication, she has a big appetite, so she needs to be taken for regular walks. She has had some accidents in her foster home in Courtice, Ontario (near Bowmanville) but is improving each day.
Molly is a great little girl with a lot of spunk. According to her foster mom, she needs a home where she will be well taken care of and loved.
”She is such a sweet dog and we would love seeing her go to a home that understands her medical needs and want a super cool loving little creature in their lives!” she said. “If you want a cuddle buddy and walking companion this little girl is for you! Molly is truly a wonderful companion for an active individual, family or couple.”
If you would like to adopt this sweet girl or learn more about her, contact Loyal Rescue by email at [email protected] and put “Pet Inquiry: Molly *SWEET! PFId#20273620’ in the subject line.
