The Logistics: Scorpio New Moon October 26th 1:57 p.m. (Mountain time) at 3 degrees 3 inches Scorpio*
All Scorp new moons are about transformation/death-rebirth cycles, the Shadow and LETTING GO*****
This new Moon is joined with asteroid Juno at 0 degrees 26 inches Scorp…Juno in modern archetype: think empowered Hillary Clinton who stayed with her husband after he cheated on her and just as many critics as an adoring following.
Mercury and Venus are also in Scorpio at 20 and 21 degrees. Venus and Mercury are squared to Neptune and Mars. This creates a T-square configuration…can you say ENERGY MOVING!!??
The new moon is inconjunct (150 degree in-congruent aspect) Uranus at 1 degree Aries (retrograding)
and opposed Jupiter in Taurus (also retrograde)
and sextile (60 degree ease aspect) Pluto at 5 degrees Capricorn….this means Jupiter and Pluto are in trine (90 degree uplifted aspect)..this is the 2nd of 3 trines between these 2 planets. Yes! This new moon is one big component in an even larger cycle of change. This new moon also happens to be 2 days before the end date of the Mayan Calendar.
The Sabian Symbol for 4 degrees Scorpio: “A youth carries a lighted candle in a devotional ritual; the educative power of ceremonies which impress the great images of a culture upon its gathered participants.” Which is further translated by Dane Rudhyar as the young people participate in collective ritual until they “choose to assert their individuality-or their participation in a generation’s revolt-by scorning the traditional rituals, including as well business rituals. Then they may poignantly search for new ones to participate in.” Whatever your opinion about the occupy wall-street movement around the world one thing is promising and that is that not all young people are disengaged. As a globe how can we further encourage a dialogue that doesn’t devalue a voice because of age, status, race, etc.?

Set you intentions on this new moon around meeting your shadow because deep within the rejected parts of ourselves (and others) is a lovely dream of soul purpose. Dive and dive deeply. Don’t forget to (as Rachel Naomi Remen would say) become a blessing and bless those around you. We are all interconnected.
Speaking of Rachel, who is part of the dynamic network called the Bioneers, get yourself out this weekend to the rebroadcasting of the Bioneers conference at CU’s environmental center. So inspirational!
“Bioneers is inspiring a shift to live on Earth in ways that honor the web of life, each other and future generations.”
For the whole family!!!
Longmont’s annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration is the Longmont Museum’s signature event and the largest Day of the Dead celebration in Colorado, attracting more than 5,000 people to the exhibit, family event, and related programming. Celebrating our 11th anniversary this year, the celebration demonstrates how a diverse community can come together to share a common desire – to honor our ancestors and keep their memories alive.
