What’s a typical day or week like for you?
I attend Bio lab meetings, keep Cross Creek Animal Clinic running, practice twice a week for our awesome league, attend
classes at Florida State University, hang out with my girls, and oh, make some time for the boyfriend.
With such a busy life what keeps you motivated with roller derby?
I love this league and care about everyone involved. My motivation is to never let anyone down when on or off the track. I
also love hitting!!!!
Do you have any pre-bout rituals?
I just listen to music and try to relax and focus.
What is your skate gear of choice?
I love my pillows for knee pads by Pro-design and my wrist guards are by them also, I need to protect my knees since that is the part of my body that take the most impact when falling. I skate on Vanilla Tony Zane’s, my wheels are Sure Grip Sugars and Atom G-Rods, my plates are Riedall Reactor Plates and my helmet is by Triple Eight. My mouth guard is custom made by OEO and Stone Her’s mom, who is an orthodontist.
Who are your roller derby heroes?
Those that never give up and make it look easy.
Do you have a motivational quote?
Make it Rain, Bitches!!!!!!!
Do you have a signature move?
Did you have any sports/skating background before roller derby and/ or do you participate in any off skates training or exercise to keep your fitness level at par?
I played soccer, softball, cheerleading for many years. I also did gymnastics for a short while. I try to ride my bike. My previous roller skating was at the local rink when I was younger and when I worked at Sonic.
What animal do you think best describes your derby playing style?
A Lioness, large but agile.
Anyone you’d like to take the opportunity to thank?
My mother for giving me the support and guidance to be the person I am.
Stay tuned next month for our next look into the life of one of our own TRG for DGMTM!
