There is a bit of cool nip to the air this morning in the Atlanta area. The leaves are beginning to change colors; and that is a big indication that many fall festivals and events will begin taking place.
This weekend just south of Atlanta in Peachtree City, Georgia, there will be a repeat of a great a festival in its 34th year.
This is an annual event that brings people from all around the Atlanta areas for food, fun, entertainment and homemade crafts to get you off to a good start for that holiday shopping.
According to Becky Kimble, Event Coordinator:
This year, Shakerag will offer a variety of vendors from around Georgia and the south, with unique items that include pottery, paintings, ceramics, clothing, florals, pet accessories, and jewelry. A children’s area will feature games, pony rides, and a craft station for minimal fees.”
The festival hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, and from noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18. Shakerag will be held rain or shine, and parking and admission to the event are free.”
This festival is well attended by local folks and is just a short ride from Atlanta. See map
