Shinobi trailer shows some slick moves and reveals street pass implementation.
A new trailer was released today by SEGA showcasing it’s upcoming 3DS title, Shinobi. Not only does this game exhibit some pretty 3D graphics and classic, ninja style gameplay, but today’s footage also illustrates Street Pass and how it’s been integrated into the game, opening up new features and content.
“Players will guide Joe [Mushasi] through a series of challenges that are just as deadly as his first outing in the arcades,” said SEGA on their official blog site. If you ever played the arcade then you know that this means one-hit deaths from enemies, like most games from the golden era. Games were much less forgiving then and gamers will have the chance to flex their dexterity in these special challenge maps unlocked through Street Pass or using your Play Coins.
It’s nice to see the SP feature utilized as an unlock feature for game content. So far all it does is help you gather play coins for the built-in game in the Mii Plaza. Other than that you cannot communicate with people you encounter in SP, but I digress.
Shinobi slices into the Nintendo 3DS on November 15th of this year. Hack, slash, shing! Are ready to swing swords like Shinobi?
