The crowds will be out in force, and the celebration will be a big one at the Magic Kingdom on October 1st for the 40th anniversary. In the meantime, click the image at left for some scenes that will take you back four decades, like Cinderalla Castle under construction, and photos of previous celebrations.
Get to the Magic Kingdom as early as possible if you plan to be on hand for the festivities. There will be a morning presentation, and you’ll want to stay all day to catch the very special fireworks show.
If you prefer something a little more low key, the Food & Wine Festival is in full swing at Epcot, and it’s only a short monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom. Click here to read why it’s like trick or treat for adults, and click here to see how the drinks encompass much more than just wine.
