The neutral nail trend has taken Hollywood by storm, as grays and taupe’s are the polishes du jour. A great departure from the typical French manicure or clear coat, these neutrals are elegant and go with everything.
Chanel’s Peridot is the golden green “it” color, however Particuliere is a wonderful choice during this neutral frenzy, a color that can be worn casually or for a special occasion. This color is a terrific combination of many neutral shades. In some light it appears grayer, in other more brown. A hint of purple is detected and two coats will help to deepen the shade.
The consistency of the Chanel line of nail colors is very reliable. Each shade glides on smoothly and evenly. One coat is usually a subtle version and two coats make a statement. Nails are protected and hardened with the polish, making them virtually impossible to break. The color stays on nails for days and days without chipping or cracking.
Particuliere can be purchased at the Chanel counter at a variety of department stores including Nordstrom and Lord & Taylor and sold for $25. This is a pretty steep price, however, rest assured that the consistency remains the same for the entire duration without becoming gummy or sticky. Stop by the nearest store and try the tester to see for yourself.
