In the beautiful Austrian Alps, it is not difficult to find a stunning view. However, a stunning view from your balcony or while you eat breakfast is another story. With so many Bed and Breakfasts in the area, it can be difficult to make the right choice. In this case, the right choice is definitely Panorama Pension Weisses Rössl.
This incredible Bed and Breakfast is located in Reith bei Seefeld, however, calling it a Bed and Breakfast just doesn’t seem like enough. Not only is there a full service restaurant (with amazing food) on site, the personal service you get is unmatched anywhere else. Don’t let the word “pension” fool you, as it may make you think of a hostel. This is far from a hostel, and more like a five star hotel experience.
From the moment we checked in, we felt as though we were the only guests in the entire Inn. We were greeted at the door with “Are you my guests?” This was a refreshing change from the normal “room 212” when you check in at a normal hotel. We were their guests, what a delight!
We arrived “after hours” and the restaurant had just closed for the night. Did that mean we did not get dinner? No! In fact, she (the innkeeper) insisted that we have dinner and seated us at a very attractive table with candles and a white linen table cloth. The meal should have cost around 20 euro, with the size of the food and the amazing taste, but instead it was only 10 euro. The restaurant had a full selection of drinks including local beer and wine. We did not have cash on us, but that was no problem either! The Innkeeper let us know we could just pay tomorrow upon checkout.
The only downside to this hotel is that they only accept cash. You can actually reserve your hotel on booking.com, but upon checkout, you must pay everything in cash. You can expect to pay around 65 Euro per night for double occupancy and around 35 Euro for a single during off-peak season (when there is no snow) and maybe 10 Euro more for peak season, so it is a great find.
The rooms include a balcony, en suite bathroom with shower, a bed (also a futon in some rooms), a television, a table, and some sort of view. We had a balcony that allowed you to take in the great view of the alps and valley below. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was squeaky clean. In fact, the entire room was squeaky clean and even had a clean aroma.
For breakfast, you will find items like toast, cold cuts, fruits, juices, and cereals. You can request a cooked egg as well. The best part of breakfast is the view. The restaurant has panoramic windows, thus the name, so you can take in that great mountain view as you enjoy your breakfast or lunch.
The decor inside the Inn is very comforting and relaxing. You will find the charm of tile floors with warm and clever decor such as flowers, an old spindle, skiing decor, and even a goat here and there. If you are traveling with kids, or are a kid at heart, the giant rocking horse is a perfect photo opportunity. Behind the rocking horse is such a stunning view that you will wonder if it is real or a painting.
After your stay in Panorama Pension Weisses Rössl, you will feel rested and relaxed for weeks to come. In fact, you just may find yourself penciling in your next stay for future months on your calendar!
