Summer is usually when we see everyone visiting Muskoka, known as the cottage country. Although after living in many tourist driven areas, I know that you ended up loving the times when people, a lot more. Fall and winter bring a lot of adventure and beauty to our area.
Seeing Fall in Muskoka with its lush trees and changing colours, not to mention the amazing bounty from our farmers is something to be feel very lucky to be able to enjoy. There are many hiking trails to be enjoyed, and parks that are less populated at this time. If you are just looking for a walk in park, type stroll, the “Simcoe Country Trial” is perfect for this. Although with rain and chill in the area, things to do with a child can be a challenge, but you can turn to Great Moose Adventures in Gravenhurst for there line up of great children activities in the great outdoors.
Finally, to warm up and get a great workout, check out Pura Vida Soul Institute for some great hot yoga, some tea after class and an atmosphere that will keep you coming back. Also you could get a massage too if you preplan your schedule, it doesn’t get better than that.
This is just a few of the things there is to do in our area, so don’t count out Muskoka after the summer, because you could be missing out on some amazing activities, and beautiful scenery.
