The Super Six World Boxing Classic Final between super middleweight world champions Andre Ward of Oakland, CA and Carl Froch from the U.K. has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. The SHOWTIME® telecast will air LIVE at 9 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast). The announcement was made jointly by Ward’s promoter, Dan Goossen of Goossen Tutor Promotions, Froch’s promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, and Ken Hershman of SHOWTIME Sports®.
The fight, originally scheduled for October 29 at Boardwalk Hall, was postponed late last week after Ward sustained a cut above his right eye during a sparring session on Thursday, September 22.
Tickets for the fight are currently on sale at the Boardwalk Hall box office or by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 736-1420 or online at Ticketmaster.com. All tickets purchased for the original event date will be honored on December 17. If ticket holders are not able to attend on December 17, refunds are available at the point of purchase.
Tickets are priced at $300, $200, $100 and $50 with the non-televised undercard beginning at 6 p.m. ET. The event is promoted by Goossen Tutor Promotions, Matchroom Sport and Antonio Leonard Promotions, in association with Caesars Atlantic City and sponsored by Corona.
The live Super Six World Boxing Classic Final will lead into the live STRIKEFORCE mixed martial arts (MMA) telecast headlined by STRIKEFORCE Lightweight Champion Gilbert Melendez defending his title againstJorge Masvidal and the return of Cris Cyborg at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, on SHOWTIME (delayed on the West Coast).

A FIGHT CAMP 360°: Bonus Feature will reveal the drama surrounding the sparring cut that forced Andre Ward to postpone the Final. The short-form program will air on SHOWTIME in the immediate future. Scheduling information will be released in the coming days.
