The Duel came right at the start of this week’s episode of Survivor, with Ozzy, Cochran, Albert, and Sophie watching. Mikayla took on the Duel champion, Christine, in a Duel of building a bridge out of planks. Once they completed the bridge, they had to take it apart in order to build a puzzle using the patterned pieces. Yet again, Christine won. New season, woman instead of a man, one person on Redemption Island winning all the Duels – same old story.
Ozzy talked to Cochran about helping each other. He volunteered himself to go to Redemption Island in an attempt for someone to beat Christine. Cochran obviously liked this plan, as it would keep him safe.
Coach did some weird Coach-like meditation moves out in the water and continued to pump his tribe up for the Immunity Challenge. Brandon continued to push to find the Immunity Idol, so Coach and Sophie wandered off to go “find it.” They actually found tree mail and then stopped by to pick up the Idol before heading back to camp and pretending to have just found the Idol.
The Immunity Challenge was again played for a reward of going to a viewing of the new Adam Sandler movie, Jack and Jill. Each tribe had to pair up into sets of twins and paint themselves to match. Rick and Coach were the callers for their tribe, while Albert, Sophie, Edna, and Brandon were blindfolded. Jim and Cochran were the callers for their tribe, with Keith, Dawn, Whitney, and Ozzy blindfolded. The blindfolded tribe members had to work their way through an obstacle course to collect bags that held masks. Keith almost lost his shorts, Sophie almost lost her top, and Cochran most likely made his tribe lose the challenge. As Savaii struggled, Coach sat and prayed for a victory. When they won, he prayed in thanks.
After rinsing off their ugly, pointless paint, Upolu headed off to the “Survivor Cinema” for their movie screening, complete with all the movie snacks they could eat.
Ozzy started yelling and criticizing Cochran the moment they got back to camp. They decided to make a decision as a group on who they would vote out, and Ozzy was quick to volunteer Cochran, since he cost them the win. Everyone jumped on the bandwagon and began encouraging Cochran and building him up to beat Christine in the next Duel. Thenext morning, Ozzy woke up and went to fetch his Immunity Idol. He quickly changed his tune and said he should be the one to go to Redemption Island, and Keith was the first one to disagree. Jim agreed.
Talk at Tribal Council immediately turned to Cochran’s failure in the Immunity Challenge. They then discussed their plan for a tribe member to win at Redemption and get back into the game. When Jeff asked about Cochran, Ozzy spoke up about listening to his dream and following his heart and gut. Ozzy revealed his whole master plan, including telling Christine that Cochran devised his own master plan and found the Idol on his own to vote Ozzy out. After handing the Idol off to Cochran, Ozzy was swiftly voted out and happily pranced off to Redemption Island.
Tune in to CBS 58 in Milwaukee at 7:00 pm next week Wednesday to see if Ozzy made one of the worst moves in the history of Survivor (for the second time) and if the merge will actually happen when he and his tribe predicted. What do you think is going to happen? Leave a comment below!
