What’s the deal with Brandon and his bizarre obsession with Mikayla? Does he thinks he’s Sampson and feared that she’s Delilah who will cut his hair to make him weak? It’s apparently so on Wednesday’s episode of Survivor: South Pacific as he started a campaign to get rid of her. He must be crazy. Even his uncle Russell wrote on Twitter that getting rid of her is a big mistake.
Back to the show, after she was voted out and sent to Redemption Island, Sehmar felt like she was abandoned by her Savaii tribe and did a poem about her situation.
Speaking of the Savaii tribe, Cochran tried to make himself useful in his tribe by opening coconuts with a machete, even though his mother asked him not to. She can relax because her son have no chance of becoming the next Jason Voorhees. Meanwhile, Ozzy went out to search for the hidden immunity idol and found it. he decided not to tell anyone, though. Later, Jim took some of the men on a fishing trip and discussed his 3 + 2 plan involving 3 men (himself, Ozzy, and Keith) and the 2 women (Elyse and Whitney).
Over at the Upolu tribe, Coach started to hit his stride with his alliance with Sophine and the five men in the tribe. Meanwhile, Edna worked on her social game with Coach and discussed about the friendship between Christine and Stacey. Then, Coach tried to get Brandon to join his alliance. Knowing that lying to Coach is tearing him apart, he revealed to Coach his tattoo with his last name of Hantz and told him that he’s Russell’s nephew. Coach was shocked because he found out that Brandon is related to his nemesis back when they competed on another Survivor season. But, Coach joined Brandon in a prayer ceremony.
Brandon continued to have problems with Mikayla simply because she’s beautiful and feared that he couldn’t control himself. So, for some strange reason, he began a crusade to get her out of the game. For a man who’s so offended by Mikayla flaunting her good looks, he doesn’t have a problem of looking at her. Anyway, Christine was still looking for the hidden immunity idol and found a clue. But, she’s unsure if she would share it with anyone.
The Immunity Challenge had four members of each tribe to untie a knot and unwrap a ribbon to retrieve keys to unlock the other contestants. Then, they have to solve a puzzle by sliding blocks so they can move a big block to place it on the platform to win immunity and comfort. Coming from behind, Savaii won.
Back at Uplou, Coach devised a 3-3-3 plan to get Christine to flush out the idol, if she have on, so they can get Stacey voted out. However, Brandon is still obsessed with getting Mikayla out and told Coach about it and his fear that she might not be trustworthy. Coach disagreed with him and want her to stay. But, Mikayla overheard some of the people discussing the plan to get her out, and she was stunned. Then, Brandon lied to Coach by saying that Christine and Stacey planning to vote Mikayla out.
It was an interesting tribal council as Brandon said that he made a good first impressions. Then, Coach basically threw Christine under the bus by talking about how she and Stacey wanted to get Mikayla out. Of course, Christine denied it and asked Coach on where he got the info. While Coach didn’t said anything, Brandon revealed that it was him. When asked by Jeff Probst about why Coach threw her under the bus, Christine said that it maybe because he referred him as a temporary player.
In the end, Christine was voted out and sent to Redemption Island to compete against Sehmar for a chance to stay in the game. She later referred Coach as a “tool.”
