With an official release date of October 25, 2011, two weeks before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the developers at DICE (Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment),look forward to BF3 being crowned the best military based first-person shooter game; stripping that title from the mighty Call of Duty series.
Published by Electronic Arts, BF3 brings to the table some exciting concepts that have been perfected at DICE. Supported by their Frostbite 2streaming technology, BF3 encompasses impressive aspects such as a multiple levels of environmental destruction, vehicle and aircraft operation and good-ol-fashion fistfights as a melee option to knife kills. Players will even be able to take other players dogtags with knife kills!
One of the most impressive realizations about BF3 is its emphasis on teamwork and how it forces a player to experience and understand the advantages of teamwork. According to the BF3 Beta, players can ‘deploy’ as one of four types of soldier, each of which has its own set of loadouts and unlockable content: medic, engineer, support and recon. For instance, gamer who come into a game as an engineer will be able to fixed damaged vehicles and equipment of his squad as well as his own. This promotes more tactical gameplay, thus resulting in a more authentic gaming experience.
Another exciting feature of BF3 is the battlefield itself. Ground troops, aircraft and armored vehicles all engaging the enemy simultaneously is a true testament to the potency of the new Frostbite 2 streaming technology. DICE is committed to log term support for BF3 through regular tweaks and new game content. Gamer who pre-order BF3 will get the map pack Back to Karklandfree!!
