18th Annual Taste of Georgetown is back!
…and I’m glad-about-it.
Saturday, October 15th
Intersection: Wisconsin Avenue & M Streets, NW
Cost: (one ticket, per tasting)
- Food! $5 for one Tasting Ticket; $20 for five Tasting Tickets
- Booze! Washington City Paper Pavilion (age 21+) $3 for one Tasting Ticket; $10 for four Tasting Tickets
- Tunes! Jazz selections by Blues Alley artists.
As often as you visit Georgetown (or maybe you don’t), there’s no way you’ve had time to try all the cool restaurants in one day.
Spend the day perusing over 30 restaurants, all in one place.
Without leaving the block, you can sample everything from pastries to steaks to burgers.
More importantly, event proceeds will benefit Georgetown Ministry Center and their efforts to support and feed the homeless.
I’m really glad to see Bodega Spanish Tapas and Lounge (the chicken paella was to DIE for!), Crêpe Amour (strawberry crêpes WITH bananas!), Georgetown Wing Company (mango caliente wings were…well, caliente!), Morton’s the Steakhouse (the tenderloin was good, but could’ve used some sauce…or something!) and Mie N Yu (lamb with jasmine rice) will be there. Too bad Patisserie Poupon isn’t. That pear tart and macaroon-pound cake hybrid thingies were pretty good. Click here to see other participating restaurants.
Can’t wait to check out these “tasty transplants”: Serendipity 3 (New York), Sprinkles Cupcakes (Beverly Hills — ohh, lala!) and Pinkberry (a West Coasters fav, which has been pretty darn popular since their Grand Opening event in May).
Then there’s Sequoia. I’m hoping they have wings!
Last year’s Taste of Georgetown was a blast! (See recap for details.) Here’s a few recipes to get you even more anxious — and hungry.
Getting there: Please be advised of the specific traffic/parking routes and detours. Click here for details.

Hope to see you there! :-)
Until we eat again…
