Tonight on the Biggest Loser, host Ali Sweeney greets the contestants as the Bride of Frankenstein. On this week’s Halloween themed Biggest Loser, the contestants were informed that they would be working together and not as separate teams.
This week, all the contestants must work together to lose 100 pounds at the weigh-in, in order to ensure all the contestants’ place on the Ranch another week.
At the challenge, the contestants were treated to a Halloween maze in which they had to gather 150 pounds of apples for a five pound advantage, and 200 for a ten pound advantage at the weigh-in. They had to complete this mission within 20 minutes and all members had to be out of the safe before time ran out. If even one member remained in the maze, they would be issued a 5 pound penalty.
[The maze was composed of Corn stalks, hay barrels and a graveyard, oh my!]
The teams managed to crush the 200 pound goal and have all their members out in the nick of time, however, all contestants decided to play a trick on veteran trainer Bob Harper, making him believe that the challenge was a candy eating challenge that involved them eating a pound of candy each. Unfortunately for them, the plan backfired and half of those contestants even vowed to never eat candy again.
At the last chance workouts, the contestants were put through the ringer, but one in particular seemed unfocused on the tasks at hand. Jennifer, a strong and constant loser at the scales from the Black Team’s lack of focus may put her at risk for elimination.
At the weigh in, John from the Black Team managed to tie the record for fastest to `00 pounds loss in 6 weeks which was previously held by Moses. Not his intention, John truly wants to lose the weight so he can live longer and has a healthier outlook on life.
The Black team was managing to hold their own until constant annoyance Sonny managed to gain a full 5 pounds. Whether it is a power play or a means to leave tonight remained to be seen. This one may prove to bite her on her gluteus maximums!
Although she pulled a four pound loss on the scales, Jen was targeted by the Red Team because of the fact that she did not seem to have her heart into working out this week. Will she be sent home, or will Ramon of the Red Team who has a budding romance going on with his fellow Red Team member Jessica, be sent home to finish their journey?
In the end, Jen was sent home to finish her journey despite the fact that other contestants failed miserably at the weigh in. Her lack of motivation working out with her fellow contestants, was the driving force behind her being sent home and the Chicago Obesity Examiner hopes she gets her act together and continues to thrive for better health.
Since arriving at the Biggest Loser Ranch, Jennifer has managed to lose a total of 102 pounds going from 330 pounds to 228. At the Lilac Dress Boutique in her hometown of Alameda, California, she was finally able to fit into the wrap dress of her dreams. By the finale, Jen hopes to fit into a size ten and win the marathon.
