Celtic Tavern LoDo and Delaney’s Bar and Cigar Lounge, two of LoDo’s landmark restaurant/pubs, announce 11 years of business this month. To celebrate, a gourmet burger menu will be unveiled the first week of November featuring 10 new mouth-watering burgers designed to delight and surprise the palette. An exciting weekly event schedule will also begin featuring 80’s nights, Jazz and Wine Sundays, Comedy Nights and more.
Celtic Tavern offers a cozy family-friendly setting, with its mahogany walls, red leather couches, and antique bar that provides a relaxing atmosphere for intimate conversations. The smoke-free pub offers an expansive food menu, 50 tap handles serving only the finest imports and domestic beers, and one of the largest Whiskey selections in Colorado, including rare Scotch’s, Irish and American Whiskeys.
Delaney’s Bar and Cigar Lounge, located right next door, has a large selection of fine cigars to enjoy in comfortable leather chairs and couches by cozy fireplaces, dartboards, two 60-foot bowling lanes and beer pong on Thursday nights.
Owners Noel Hickey, John Higgins and Patrick Schaetzle, emphasize the importance of being part of the Denver community through the monthly charity events held at the restaurants (for local non-profits from MaxFund to the Colitis Foundation of Denver) and boasting 11-years of serving locals and celebrities alike. Fergie, Bill Murray, Rod Stewart, Bill Pullman, Lisa Lampanelli, Cedric the Entertainer, are all fans and have visited over the years.
New weekly events including live music, dancing and comedy acts will keep people of all ages entertained. The much-anticipated gourmet burger menu (not reveled until the first week of November,) will entice new customers and regulars. Designed by Higgins, the menu will boast 10 one-of-a-kind burgers.
“We have enjoyed bringing the culture, food, and drink of the Celts to LoDo for 11 years,” said Hickey. “LoDo is a wonderful area for families, couples and singles. Cheers to 11 more years with our loyal customers and new customers.”
The Celtic Tavern was named after the Celts – an ancient people of northwestern Europe made up of a Chief, nobles, free men and slaves. These tribes were excellent metal workers who decorated their weapons and armor with bright intricate designs and curious creatures. The culture was rich in art, music and poetry. The Celtic Tavern and Delaney’s Bar and Cigar Lounge enjoy the combined influences of these nations and reflect them with Irish, Scottish, Welsh and Cornish themed areas, food and drink.
