Would love to create but not in an ordinary setting? Check out The Drawing Circus: An Immersion Experience with Edward Stanton. An experience like none other. Classes will be held six Tuesdays from 7-10 pm, Oct 25, Nov 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 at The Dream Institute of Northern California located on 1672 University Avenue in Berkeley.
It is a rendezvous with the unexpected; a continuous drawing “workout” in an experimental, ever-changing environment. The first three sessions will be an introduction; the next three with a performer in a partially staged ephemeral atmosphere are self-directed. Music and theatrical lighting fill the room with energy that inspires.
The Drawing Circus distinguishes itself through its deliberately diverse crossover of artistic disciplines. It challenges preconceived ideas and attitudes toward creativity. Stanton says, “What we generally take for real these days takes us further and further from the actual experience of what it is to ‘see.’ The process of making art is also an art form in and of itself. The Drawing Circus is in essence a collective and cooperative courage incubator.”
Open to anyone: nonartists, wannabe artists, hobbyists, and serious exhibiting artists. Everyone can benefit from this unique experience.
