In its infinite wisdom, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) indicates that they have plans to tighten regulations on natural gas drilling based on bad information and largely overstated “estimates” of greenhouse-gas emissions, according to The New American.
The Report, done by the independent energy analysis firm HIS Cambridge Energy Research Associates, (CERA), reveals, that the current “EPA” method used for [estimating] gas field methane emissions is [not] based on methane emitted during well completions, but is based on a [data sample] of methane captured during well completions, apprently not the actual measurements.
Recently the EPA has been under fire for attempting to keep companies under their thumb. President Obama quashed “proposed rules on ozone from the EPA, agreeing with Republicans and industry to withdraw the costliest regulation being considered by the administration”, according to BloombergBusinessWeek.
Even Al Gore has taken to the Internet Airwaves recently because there seems to have been a turn around in attitude about how much we can really believe about things “he” says, and even more dramatic, people and politicians are growing more hesitant to lock step with what the EPA says.
Should the EPA be abolished? Many would hoot and holler…. YES! And some, who believe that the EPA’s Fairy God Mother called the U.S. Government, knows best, and would say no, we can’t do that.
Al Gore supposedly makes millions of dollars a year on the so-called Global Warming. Remember a few months back the huge knife that was plunged into the chest of the Global Warming movement with emails from scientists that indicated that the whole thing was a hoax. It was never thought that those emails would be viewed by the press and the public. But, they were and the knife was plunged deeply.
For the EPA and the Obama Administration, the term Global Warming is a survival tool. A tool that, should they give it up would mean less control of what you and I do! It would also mean less control of what corporations do so that you and I can have heat and AC in our homes.
Remember the “idea” that Obama floated about the government regulating your thermostat! I say, take a hike Pres.
When government forces itself on the public in a manner that attempts to tell us how to live, what we eat, where we go, when we can do this stuff, and then be so bold as to think that they will control your thermostat, it’s time to take a stand. Taking that stand should be at the Polls in November 2012.
It’s time for a smaller federal government, less government intrusion into our lives at all government levels, and it is time for a government whose main concern is protecting our borders from illegal aliens as well as foreign powers.
