On “The X Factor” Sunday, we finally found out what we have been anxious about for weeks — the final 16. There were surprises, welcome news, and also a shocker where one contestant withdrew themselves even after getting a “yes.”
Ultimately, here are the 16 people we’ll be seeing next week.
Craig Colton – He’s not the most likely candidate for a star, but Gary called him a “secret weapon” — and he’s sure to land plenty of votes.
Marcus Collins – He definitely looks like a star, but he still needs to work on standing out in a crowd.
James Michael – According to Gary, he’s the “gamble” of the competition.
Frankie Cocozza – If there is a favorite among the guys, it’s Frankie. He’s got a signature style, and also a giant personality.
2 Shoes – This was a group that came out of left field, surprised everyone, and continues to make us excited about the future.
Rhythmix – While we’re a bit sad to see them advance over Girl v. Boy, they do bring a sort of urban vibe to the show … though it seems a bit like Cher Lloyd in a group form (and we already have Cher Lloyd).
Nu Vibe – This group was put together at the last minute during the show, but they did still end up getting to the next step.
The Risk – We have a twist! Tulisa ended up combining members of this group with The Keys and made a “supergroup” — which is the first time this has ever happened.
Johnny Robinson – He is quite a character, but will he be able to keep strong throughout the live shows?
Kitty Brucknell – The most controversial contestant in the competition will be going forward.
Sami Brookes – You have to wonder how Sami really even feels at the moment — she made it through, but this was only after Goldie Cheung chose to withdraw from the competition on her own.
Jonjo Kerr – Finally, the soldier is going to have his day.
Misha Bryan – She made it through! Kelly Rowland made her the first of the young girls to get the shot.
Amelia Lily – She’s so distinctive, and she could be a sensation if she gets the fan base.
Sophie Habibis – Now, we have a surprise — despite some tough words from Kelly, she was put through.
Janet Devlin – The final act to make it through is many ways the biggest favorite to win this whole thing. Janet has devoted fans, a nice story, and also an incredibly distinctive voice.
Who are you rooting for out of these 16 acts?
