After some controversy broke about their name being identical to a children’s charity, “X Factor” girl group Rhythmix has now come up with a brand-new name for themselves.
Writing in a new post on their official Twitter page, the British singing quartet announced their new name — and it is rather similar to what we have heard already:
“We’re really excited to announce that as of now our new name is Little Mix! We came up with this name with [mentor] Tulisa, and we love it-hope our Little Mixers like it too!”
The “Little Mixers” comment is good in the sense that they already can claim to have a group of fans already cheering behind them with a specific name. The group has been dubbed “the best girl group in ‘X Factor’ history,” and Tulisa seems desperate to prove to the show’s largely-female voting block that these girls are good role models to cheer for.
What do you think of this new name?
