Just two episodes until the finale of this season, so it’s time for some plot-moving and violence. The vampire hit squad comes for Marnie, but inside she’s killing her own to keep them from leaving. She stabs Casey, who tries to run.
Yep, a murder before the opening credits. This show is in overdrive.
Marnie coughs up Antonia, which Lafayette can see. Marnie then casts a binding spell on her, and swallows her back up.
Outside, the vampire ninja squad are warned off by Jason, who tells them Sookie is in there and shows them the protection spell Marnie has cast around the shop. Marnie’s hypnotized vampires attack Eric and Bill, so it seems the force field only works one way.
Meanwhile at the pack’s bike shop, Sam is still the only person distraught over the death of his brother. He and Alcide are looking for Marcus, who’s taken off with the kid.
Lafayette and boyfriend Jesus pull a nice swerve to get out of the room, and start trying to cast a spell and stop Marnie.
Bill throws a vampire into Marnie’s force-field, and finds out it’s solar-powered for protection from vampires. Nice touch. Marnie tells Bill and Eric that if they kill themselves, she’ll let Sookie go. Surprisingly they actually agree, but Pam fires a rocket launcher into the protection spell in anger.
We wind up the werewolf plotline with Sam and Marcus fighting to the death, which actually winds up with Alcide killing Marcus.
Back at the shop, they realize Jason was also caught in the blast. Jessica gives him more of her blood to heal him.
Somehow while walking home, Andy has managed to get laid by a fairy in the middle of the woods. I guess the way things are going, he was due for some good luck.
Marnie creates a scrying pool, and sees the present. Then she sees her future, which is death.
Jesus and Lafayette continue their ritual, which gets more disgusting by the moment.
Marnie casts a spell that draws the vampires towards her solar shield, until Sookie’s elf powers activate and knock her down. Marnie then seals Sookie in a ring of fire, until Jesus’s ritual draws Antonia out of Marnie.
Bill and Eric enter, and Eric tears out Marnie’s second-in-command’s heart, drinking from it like a juice box. Marnie goes next with a bullet between the eyes, just as she saw in her vision, to wind up this plotline before the final episode. This can’t be over yet.
As the episode closes, Lafayette and Jesus are in bed together talking. Somewhere along the way, Lafayette had time to take his braids out. They fall asleep quietly, except…
Marnie appears to Lafayette and jumps into his body. Man, can’t Lafayette ever keep his mouth shut? He’s like a swinging gate for possession.
Interesting that it’s Marnie, and not Antonia doing the possessing.
So we go to next week’s final episode with the witch back, Lafayette possessed, Alcide a murderer, and sixty minutes to go on the season.
