If you believe what a British tabloid is reporting, there was an ulterior motive for “The X Factor” U.K. judge Tulisa Contostavlos to say on live TV that finalist Misha Bryan is a backstage bully. According the the Daily Mirror, the reason why Contostavlos made such a personal criticism is that Contostavlos allegedly wants to stop any attempts that Bryan has been making to work with Richard “Fazer” Rawson, who is Contostavlos’ boyfriend and N-Dubz band mate.
As previously reported, “The X Factor” U.K. judges Contostavlos and Louis Walsh reprimanded Byran in the show’s October 22, 2011 episode by accusing her of bullying other contestants behind the scenes.
After the judges’ remarks ignited a huge controversy with viewers, Walsh apologized in the “The X Factor” U.K.’s October 23 episode. Contostavlos did not express remorse for her describing Bryan as a bully, but she acknowledged in the October 23 episode that Bryan gave one of the best performances in the previous night’s episode.
An unnamed source tells the Daily Mirror:
“Fazer was impressed with a couple of the contestants and said he’d be happy to produce with them once the show is over. He thinks Misha has incredible raw talent – and if his girlfriend wasn’t mentoring the groups, he would definitely be backing her to win the series.
“The pair swapped numbers and have been texting a bit as Misha is desperate to work with him. She was boasting about it backstage, in a not very nice way, and word quickly got back to Tuilsa who was not amused. In fact she was livid.
“Misha needs to pipe down or she will never get to work with Fazer. Tulisa will always be Fazer’s No.1 priority. He is not interested in Misha romantically, and Misha shouldn’t be making enemies if she’s going to have longevity in the music industry.”
“The X Factor” U.K. judge Kelly Rowland (who is Bryan’s mentor on the show) was quick to defend Bryan on the show and on “The Xtra Factor.” Rowland also posted this message on Twitter on October 22:
“I just want everyone to know that @MishaBRYAN is one of the most gracious and humble girls I know, as are @JanetJealousy [Janet Devlin] and @sophiehabibis!”
As previously reported, “The X Factor” U.K judge Gary Barlow has confirmed that the “The X Factor” U.K. judges have been feuding. Contostavlos and Walsh are reportedly on one side of the feud, and Rowland and Barlow are on the other side.
In related news about Contostavlos, after the live October 23 episode, she partied at the Whisky Mist nightclub in London with Rhythmix and The Risk, the last two groups to remain in 2011’s “X Factor” U.K. competition. (Contostavlos is the mentor for the Groups category this year.) Also partying with Contostavlos and her entourage were “X Factor” U.K. 2011 finalists Sophie Habibis (who is being mentored by Rowland) and Marcus Collins (who is being mentored by Barlow).
