TV, Broadway and Movie Star Ana Gasteyer Takes the Stage at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center Show is part of Founders’ Weekend

During six years on Saturday Night Live, Gasteyer created some of the show’s most famous characters as well memorable impressions of Martha Stewart, Celine Dion and Hillary Clinton. She currently stars in the new hit comedy Suburgatory. A talented stage actress as well as a comedienne, she made her Broadway debut in The Rocky Horror Show and starred in productions of The Threepenny Opera and The Vagina Monologues. She earned raves as Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway, and originated the role for the Chicago production, earning a Jefferson Award nomination.
Gasteyer’s performance will be similar to her one-woman cabaret show Elegant Songs from a Handsome Woman, which Kenneth Jones of Playbill called a “classy, brassy and sassy club act,” in which she brought “her unique comic wit and style to the stage…featuring Broadway ditties, beloved (if forgotten) standards, and movie melodies.”
Tickets are $56.50 and $66.50. Tickets, group discounts and scheduling information for all performances are available through the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center’s box office at 877-311-7469 or online at www.AventuraCenter.org.
The show is a presentation of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, which manages the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, a 14,864-square-foot, 326-seat waterfront complex that hosts performing arts, cultural and educational programming for all ages. The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center is located at 3385 N.E. 188 Street in Aventura, FL.
