One of the most popular community tennis events organized by the Southern California Tennis Association (SCTA) is the annual weekend of dual workshops for Community Development and Recreational Coaches in Indian Wells. Every year the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, home of the “5thSlam” BNP Paribas Open, is hosting the 2 workshops and thus providing a platform of learning and dialogue for parents, instructors, coaches, community organizers and advocates, and everyone who loves tennis. This year it is October 22 and 23 when all those groups and individuals come together for a fun and educational weekend in the desert.
Organized by the SCTA’s Community Development Coordinator & NJTL Coordinator, Melanie Bischoff, the weekend is filled with information on and off the tennis court, and there is also room for a little fun round robin match play.
