Designer Hillary Flowers will be holding a casting call for dogs at her boutique at 40 Clinton Street on Tuesday, October 4 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Selected pups will model her new fashion line at her upcoming Pet Dress-Up Pawty: A Halloween Fashion Show on October 16. If you think your dog has what it takes, stop by and audition.
The party on October 16, celebrating the launch of AR|NY Pet Interiors together with Hillary Flower’s new pet fashion line, will be a fun way to get some costume ideas for the many upcoming Halloween dog parties and costume contests! Pose for the red carpet and step & repeat, watch the fashion show, visit with representatives from a local animal shelter, and try out the wine and cocktail specials with your best friend at your side. Another exciting opportunity to walk a Halloween runway with your pup is at Animal Fair Magazine’s 11th Annual Howl-oween Pet Costume Party, which will be held on October 26 from 7-9 PM at Pacha New York. All contestants in the costume contest get to prance the runway in front of celebrity judges and press. (No worries for the shy: Les Compagnons will be providing wine, which should help people lose their inhibitions.) Proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of New York. Get tickets before they run out at http://www.animalfair.com/home/howloween2011/
If you’d like some time out of the city before all the Halloween fuss, the New Rochelle Humane Society and Pet Rescue will hold their 3rd Annual Hounds on the Sound Dog Walk/Festival at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle this Sunday, October 2. More info here!
