Mi Escuelita Preschool – Day of Caring
Starting from 10 AM to 11 AM at Mi Escueltia Preschool on Buckner Blvd, volunteers will host a visual outdoor carnival for children. More than 400 youngsters, dressed in Halloween costumes, will engage in volunteer-led pumpkin art projects, prize-winning games, and field day fitness activities designed to enhance the children’s preschool experience.
PepsiCo and Frito Lay
PepsiCo and its Frito-Lay division have a 27-year history of supporting the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. Each October, Frito-Lay and other DFW-based PepsiCo associates participate in a fundraising campaign as a way to show their commitment to the community, investing more than $23 million in United Way programs over the last 10 years. Last year’s campaign was the second largest in the Metroplex, raising more than $3.3 million in total contributions. Day of Caring activities provide a way for Frito-Lay and other DFW-based PepsiCo associates to volunteer their time to support United Way programs.
Among the United Way service providers volunteers will support during this year’s Day of Caring event are: CASA of Collin County, Children’s Medical Center, Family Place, Goodwill Industries, Pedi Place, Salvation Army, and Visiting Nurse Association of Texas.
