Walt Disney World love to celebrate the holidays no matter what time of year it is, even if it is over a full month until the actual day arrives. Recently at Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party began thrilling and haunting guests as the park came to a close for all others. Now the Halloween merchandise is making its way into stores with plenty enough time for everyone to grab their favorites.

There really is a great crop of things to buy this year and some brand new art presented by the Disney Parks Blog that is beyond awesome. Seeing Mickey and the gang dressed up in costumes while the Headless Horseman looms in the background in front of an eerie Cinderella Castle is just incredible.
Cody Reynolds, Senior Character Artist with Disney Design Group, spoke a little on his designs and bringing Halloween to the parks this year.
“For this year’s Halloween artwork, we added a playful edge to the Disney characters and overall design,” explained Cody. “Halloween has become such a fun holiday at Disney that we thought the artwork should reflect the same kind of fun that guests have when dressing up.”
Cody did say that he had a favorite character to work with, and it wasn’t your normal run-of-the-mill member of the Fab Five.
“I like the Headless Horseman,” smiled Cody. “He isn’t often seen on merchandise so I’m glad I included him. Plus, he is an important character at events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.”
As you can see in the images, some of the items available this year are:
- Halloween candy jack-o-lanterns
- Werewolf Mickey plush
- Halloween bags
- Popcorn tins
- Halloween placemats
- Halloween-themed Duffy Bears
- Witch Minnie Mouse hats
- Witch Minnie plush
- Halloween tumblers
- Halloween pens
There is sure to be a whole lot more too, but this is merely the beginning. The haunts are going to continue until the end of September and through all of October as Walt Disney World gets spooky.
