Looking for a great slow cooker meal? This cheesy macaroni recipe is a hit!
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni shells
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (one bag)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 can cheddar cheese soup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
This recipe has been modified from Paula Deen’s Creamy Macaroni and Cheese. The original recipe can be found at FoodNetwork.com.
Boil the macaroni shells in water for about 5 minutes, or until they start to become tender. Drain the pasta when it is done boiling. In a medium sauce pan, stir the butter and shredded cheese until all the cheese is melted. Now it is time to put all of your ingredients into the slow cooker. Stir all of the ingredients well. Turn the slow cooker onto the low setting and cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
This recipe is so easy, and the best part is that while the macaroni is cooking in the slow cooker, you can wash any of the dishes used to prepare the pasta and cheese mixture. So when dinner is over, you don’t have to worry about washing all those pots!
