One of the best things about Cleveland is that it can embrace any budget. Another thing is how many different and amazing places there are here. It doesn’t matter if you are looking for a first date, an anniversary or a place to propose the perfect location can be found in Cleveland.
First dates are some of the most awkward situations in a lifetime, picking the right place is half the battle. There are a lot of things to keep in mind, budget is the biggest. Here is a list of places that range in budgets and ranges of formality.
-Melt: Bar and Grilled: two locations make it convenient from anywhere is Cleveland (soon to be 3). Also the prices are from $8-$12 so no one feels like they need to win the Ohio Lottery to eat well! The best thing is the décor because it can help to keep the conversation going! Beware of wait times though, the Lakewood location is on the smaller side and can have over an hour wait. Melt Bar and Grilled
-Quaker Steak and Lube: While eating chicken wings may not be ideal for a first date, the food is amazing! Prices are average $10-$16… the best thing is the location, it is in the same plaza as a movie theater so it makes a great set up if the date is going well. Quaker Steak and Lube
-Michael Symon’s BSpot: The Iron Chef has 2 other restaurants that are not the best for a first date because of the prices and only 1 location each. BSpot on the other hand has 4 locations including one in the Q. The prices range from $8 and up. BSpot has a happy hour 3pm-6pm Monday-Friday and that would be a great idea for informal meeting after work. BSpot
As the dates go on, the previous restaurants can and should be visited but it is also time to step it up a bit.
– Maggiano’s: Yes technically it is a chain restaurant but outside of Beachwood the closest location is Cincinnati. The menu offers for $12 buy 1 and get 1 to take home classic pasta. The Desserts are amazing as well and there is really no way to make a bad choice there. Maggiano’s
-Melting Pot: Like Maggiano’s this is a chain, but the resturant has 2 locations arounrestaurantnd and they know how to set the mood!
