Over the next few weeks, we will provide great wine deals from some of Portland’s big box retailers. Fred Meyers have the two largest winde departments in the greater Portland area, via its Hollywood and Hawthorne stores. These are first and second for shelf space committed to wine.
Although they are within the same corporation, each Fred Meyer wine department is different. I found different deals, and wines available in every one of their stores.
Today, we are presenting incredible deals from Fred Meyer at Hawthorne. Over the next few weeks we will visit other Fred Meyer locations, as well as Safeway, New Season, Whole Foods, Zupans, and, to find wine deals, maybe in your neighborhood!

Selvapiana 2009 (Chianti Ruffina) $17.99
“This tight Sangiovese from one of Chianti Rufina’s most historic estates offers a medley of fruit-base aromas wrapped around a solid core of red cherry and raspberry. It’s a simple, polished wine that recalls some winery, foxy aromas.” 84 pts Wine Enthusiasts
