Woosterfest, our own local beer festival, starts Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Market Square.
Most of the Christians around the Wayne County area have no problem with drinking alcohol, but there is always a very vocal minority in American Christianity that feels that their Church’s doctrine has supremacy over the Bible. Having to explain alcohol to tee-total Christians (tee-vangelicals?) is like explaining vegetables to angry children: it shouldn’t need explanation, but they still complain.
Paul of Tarsus said: “If then you died with the anointed from the elements of the world system, why, as living in that world system, are you being ruled: ‘you should not touch, nor taste, nor may you be handling,’ which is all into decay from use down to the commands and teachings of humans?” (Colossians 2:20-22) So please exercise your freedom in Christ, and come out to have some good, clean fun!
