October 10 is World Mental Health Day which helps raise awareness of mental health issues. This day encourages people to discuss mental disorders, preventative measures, treatment services and more. While there has been progress made in helping people cope, ongoing efforts continue around the world to invest time, funding and knowledge to continue improving available mental health sources.
The most common mental health disorders also seem to be the most misunderstood. People who suffer from mental health disorders may be labeled inappropriate names by others who lack understanding of their mental health condition. Each of the following 7 mental health issues is a link that will give you more information about the disorder:
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder aka ADHD
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder aka OCD
- Eating Disorders
- Bipolar Disorder
- Borderline Personality Disorder aka BPD
