It’s easy to find other writers online, but what about the locals? Connecting with writers in your area can provide new opportunities for growth. Face-to-face meetings let you get to know the personality behind the writing, and be candid with those who have “lived it”.
The Writer’s Wordshop – This community of writers and poets in Lincoln is open to all. They meet at the F Street Recreation Center in Lincoln, NE on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 5-7pm.
Nebraska Writer’s Workshop – The Nebraska Writer’s Workshop works to provide Omaha area writers with opportunities to connect and grow, at NO CHARGE. They meet year-round, on a weekly basis, on Wednesday evenings from 6-9pm at Baright Public Library in Omaha.
Nebraska Writing Project – This network of educators and writers works to provide opportunities to improve, enhance, and celebrate writing in Nebraska classrooms and communities alike.
Nebraska Writer’s Guild – This professional organization hosts conferences and classes (in-person and online) for writers across Nebraska. NWG was founded in 1925.
