This long awaited return of the Rated R Superstar began with Edge telling the fans about everything he misses since his retirement. Out of the many things he misses in the WWE, the fans top his list. Now as a fellow enthusiast I know how much this company needs Edge. Cody Rhodes came out and made his presence known by criticizing the returning star, calling him a suck up to the fans. But when everything was said and done it was Cody that was left looking like a fool. For when Edge left the ring Cody was being rude to the fans until one punched him in the face. This fan turned out to be the very man that Cody was trying to help make an impact….Ted Dibiase, Jr.
Daniel Bryan def. Sin Cara via DQ
This match was a highly competitive match with back and forth action between the superstars.
Sin Cara again showed us the cruel side that he was hiding from all of us when he debuted. But at the end of the match we were surprised to see that there is another man dressed as Sin Cara.
Who is this man? Who is the real Sin Cara?
Beth Phoenix def. A.J.
In the last Smackdown before she faces Kelly Kelly Beth Phoenix proved again that they Divas of Doom should reign supreme. This match was pretty much a one sided match as most of us expected. All in all it looked like a walk the park for the Glamazon.
Sheamus & Justin Gabriel def. Wade Barrett & Christian
After insulting his opponents Sheamus joined Gabriel in a tag team match. The match was all about Barrett and Christian keeping Gabriel in their corner until the end. The end left Christian on the outside of the ring lying on the floor. Wade Barrett was being over powered by Sheamus until Wade was laying the corner. Justin Gabriel climbed to the top rope and delivered the 450 Splash to the Englishman for the win.
The Great Khali def. Heath Slater
Khali took Slater for a ride leaving him wishing that he never would’ve entered the ring. Slater fans had a glimmer of hope that Heath would catch the giant of guard with the interference of Jindar Mahal. But even with that hope the One Man Southern Rock band fell to the Punjabi Nightmare.
R-Truth def. Evan Bourne
With their tag team match looming in the distance R-Truth proved that Air Boom may not have a chance to retain their titles. R-Truth made a quick victory over Bourne and celebrated with his new tag team partner The Miz.
The night ended with the return of the Cutting Edge. His guests were Mark Henry and Randy Orton. After some tough questioned by Edge the two rivals had enough. Even though GM Teddy Long ordered the two not to touch each other they ignored the order. After all was said and done Mark Henry was left standing over Orton as he lay in the ring. Will this be the scene at Night of Champions or can Randy overcome the World’s Strongest Man and retain his belt?
