WWE wrestler Jimmy Uso who tag teams with his brother Jay, was arrested yesterday in Tampa, Florida and charged with driving under the influence. Uso whose real name is Johnathan Fatu, was pulled over at 3:15 AM with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit according to ABC Action news. Jimmym Uso’s mug shot from the arrest can be seen on the left.
Police reported that Uso was in such bad shape, that he was “traveling the wrong way on Howard Avenue in a silver Mustang.”
This is certainly unfortunate news for the Uso brothers who are the sons of former WWE superstar Rikishi. The fresh faced tag team had been slowly but surely been climbing up the ladder to a possible WWE Tag Team Championship run in the near future. This legal issue may hurt their chances of success in the WWE for the near future, and effect Jimmy’s individual career path as well.
Uso being arrested for DUI is just the latest in a string of recent arrests of top level wrestling stars behaving badly. Kurt Angle recently was arrested for DUI earlier this month, while former TNA and WWE wrestler Matt Hardy has been arrested on numerous driving and DWI charges in the last two months. Jeff Hardy who just returned to TNA IMPACT after being off TV after showing up inebriated on the Victory Road PPV event earlier this year, recently finalized a plea deal with North Carolina to settle a 2009 felony drug charge.
