The X Factor hopeful, Marcus Canty has done very well on the show thus far, and this week, he made it to the top 12 on the show. There is no doubt that Canty became a hugely successful hopeful from the first moment, and he impressed the judges from the moment that he first auditioned on the show. It is clear that he is very talented, and according to a new interview, Canty revealed what it was like for him to perform for Rihanna, and X Factor judge, L.A. Reid.
As Digitial Spy reports, Marcus Canty said of performing for Rihanna and L.A. Reid: “It’s funny, when I sang to Rihanna I was more trying to get her to connect to me when I was singing the song. As a male singer you have to connect to the ladies. I didn’t know she said that, that’s what’s funny, until I saw that!“
Fans of the show will recall that Marcus Canty was assigned to the “boys” group which was being mentored by L.A. Reid. Rihanna served as a guest mentor along with L.A. Reid. Canty was chosen as one of the top 4 hopefuls by L.A. Reid to move forward to the live shows.
